01

Who Publishes ABODERA

ABODERA is an independent digital publication founded and edited by Débora Justo.

ABODERA exists to help readers make their homes more practical, comfortable, beautiful, organized, and well maintained through useful editorial content, guides, tools, and recommendations.

The publication covers the home as a whole, including decorating, organization, cleaning, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, furniture, appliances, DIY projects, maintenance, repairs, renovation, painting, walls, flooring, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, lighting, tools, materials, outdoor areas, and related home topics.

Débora oversees ABODERA’s editorial direction and is responsible for the final review of content published under her name.

02

Our Editorial Purpose

ABODERA creates content to help readers understand options, solve everyday home problems, compare alternatives, and make more informed decisions.

We believe a home publication should offer more than inspiration. A useful page should provide practical context, explain relevant differences, and help readers decide what may work for their space, budget, needs, and level of experience.

Homes, properties, climates, budgets, building methods, local regulations, and household needs vary. When a subject does not have one universal answer, ABODERA aims to explain the factors that matter rather than present one approach as right for every reader.

03

How Topics Are Selected

ABODERA may select topics based on:

  • Questions homeowners, renters, and households commonly ask
  • Everyday problems that need clear, practical guidance
  • Decisions that benefit from comparisons, examples, checklists, or tools
  • Areas where available information appears incomplete, confusing, or scattered
  • Related subjects that help readers understand a topic more fully
  • Changes in products, materials, maintenance practices, terminology, or reader needs
  • Gaps identified while reviewing existing content

Search data and keyword research may help us understand how readers describe a question, but search volume alone does not determine whether a page should be published.

Each topic should have a defined purpose and offer something genuinely useful to the intended reader.

04

How Content Is Developed

The editorial process varies by subject, but it may include defining the reader’s main question, establishing the scope of the page, identifying related questions that need context, reviewing relevant information, comparing alternatives, and organizing the final resource clearly.

Depending on the topic, research may include official guidance, manufacturer instructions, product specifications, established industry resources, reputable publications, publicly available data, retailer information, and more than one perspective where appropriate.

Source standard

ABODERA does not treat a single source, an AI-generated response, a social-media post, or an unverified claim as automatically authoritative.

We aim to separate factual information from opinion, inspiration, personal preference, and editorial judgment. A page may be revised, expanded, reorganized, corrected, or removed before publication when needed.

05

Authorship and Editorial Responsibility

Content published under a person’s name is reviewed and approved by that person before publication.

An author byline identifies the person accepting editorial responsibility for the page. AI tools, search platforms, software, and other technologies are not presented as authors because they do not make final editorial decisions or accept responsibility for published content.

Authorship does not mean every statement, product claim, quotation, image, or third-party detail originated with the author. It means the responsible editor reviewed the page and accepted responsibility for how the information is presented.

06

Accuracy, Context, and Updates

ABODERA makes reasonable efforts to provide information that is accurate and useful at the time of publication.

However, product specifications, prices, availability, warranties, retailer policies, materials, building requirements, safety guidance, laws, local codes, and official requirements may change. Sources may also disagree, and some home decisions depend heavily on local conditions or personal circumstances.

Confirm time-sensitive details

Readers should confirm time-sensitive, purchase-specific, legal, safety-related, code-related, or project-specific information with the appropriate official source, manufacturer, retailer, local authority, contractor, or qualified professional.

We do not guarantee that every page will remain current indefinitely. Relevant content may be reviewed and updated as better or more current information becomes available.

07

Home Improvement and DIY Safety

ABODERA may publish guides about DIY projects, repairs, maintenance, tools, materials, and home improvement.

These resources are intended to provide general information, not a diagnosis, inspection, design approval, permit determination, or professional instruction for a specific property.

Some projects may require a licensed professional, permits, inspections, manufacturer guidance, insurance approval, or compliance with building, electrical, plumbing, fire, environmental, and local codes.

Know when to stop

Readers should use reasonable judgment and seek qualified help when a project involves electricity, gas, structural elements, roofing, ladders, power tools, hazardous chemicals, asbestos, lead, mold, water damage, fire risks, or conditions they cannot safely assess.

More information is available in our Disclaimer and Home Improvement & DIY Safety Disclaimer.

08

Interactive Tools and Calculations

ABODERA may create calculators, checklists, worksheets, planners, guides, and other free interactive resources.

These tools are designed to make a task easier to understand or organize. They may use general assumptions, formulas, ranges, or information entered by the reader.

Tool results are estimates or general suggestions, not guarantees. They may not account for every property condition, product specification, local requirement, cost, safety issue, code requirement, or individual circumstance.

We review tools for functionality, clarity, and usefulness, but readers remain responsible for confirming important results before making decisions or beginning a project.

09

Use of AI-Supported Tools

ABODERA may use AI-supported tools during parts of the research, planning, drafting, editing, visual, or technical development process.

These tools may assist with organizing information, identifying unanswered questions, evaluating content structure, supporting portions of drafting or editing, improving clarity, detecting gaps, structuring tables or checklists, supporting tool development, or creating and editing illustrative visual assets.

AI output is treated as working material, not as a final authority. It may be reviewed, corrected, expanded, rewritten, reorganized, or removed during the editorial process.

ABODERA does not intentionally use AI to fabricate sources, quotations, credentials, personal experiences, product testing, or professional approval.

Our full approach is explained in the AI Transparency policy.

10

Images and Visual Content

ABODERA may publish original visual assets, licensed stock photography, product images supplied by retailers or manufacturers, social-media embeds, illustrations, and images created, modified, or enhanced with AI-supported tools.

Some images are illustrative and should not automatically be understood as documentation of a real home, person, property condition, project, product experience, or result.

When a third-party image requires attribution, ABODERA aims to provide the appropriate credit or source information.

The presence of a product image does not necessarily mean that ABODERA has personally purchased, used, handled, or tested that product.

11

Product Research and Recommendations

When ABODERA publishes a shopping guide, comparison, review, or product recommendation, the evaluation may consider available product specifications, materials, construction, functionality, design, intended use, price, overall value, retailer accessibility, warranty information, return policies, public customer information, and relevance to the subject being discussed.

Not every product mentioned on ABODERA has been personally purchased or tested.

Research-based evaluation

Research-based evaluations are not presented as firsthand experience.

Direct experience

When direct use, ownership, or testing applies to a product recommendation, the relevant page will make that clear.

A product’s inclusion does not guarantee that it will remain available, that its price will remain unchanged, or that it will be suitable for every reader or home.

12

How ABODERA May Generate Revenue

ABODERA may generate revenue through display advertising, affiliate links, sponsored content, paid partnerships, brand or retailer collaborations, promotional campaigns, email-based recommendations, licensing, or other commercial arrangements.

Revenue may help support website hosting, research, editorial production, technical maintenance, visual development, and the creation of free resources.

The existence of a commercial relationship does not automatically determine what ABODERA publishes or the conclusion presented in an article.

13

Advertising

ABODERA may display advertisements supplied by third-party advertising networks.

Advertisements may be selected or delivered automatically based on factors controlled by the advertising provider. The appearance of an advertisement does not necessarily mean that ABODERA personally recommends or endorses the advertiser, product, service, or claim shown.

Advertisers do not receive the right to approve or rewrite independent editorial content merely because advertisements appear on the website. Advertising should be distinguishable from ABODERA’s editorial content where appropriate.

14

Affiliate Relationships

Some ABODERA links may be affiliate links. If a reader follows an affiliate link and completes a qualifying purchase, ABODERA may receive a commission at no additional cost to the reader.

Affiliate relationships may affect which purchasing links are available, but they do not guarantee inclusion in a guide, a favorable evaluation, a particular ranking, positive editorial coverage, or protection from criticism or removal.

Disclosure placement

Pages containing affiliate links should include a clear disclosure close to the relevant recommendation or link.

More information is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.

16

Conflicts of Interest

ABODERA aims to disclose a financial, professional, personal, or other relationship when that relationship could reasonably affect how a reader evaluates a recommendation or statement.

Potential conflicts may include affiliate relationships, sponsored partnerships, gifted products or services, ownership interests, compensation connected to a recommendation, or personal and professional connections with a featured company.

A relevant relationship should not be intentionally hidden from readers.

17

Corrections and Content Updates

ABODERA welcomes correction requests.

A published page may be reviewed when a factual error is identified, information becomes outdated, a source or link is no longer available, a statement needs additional context, product information changes, a tool has a technical issue, or a reader identifies an important unanswered question.

Correction requests are evaluated before changes are made. ABODERA may correct, clarify, expand, reorganize, or remove content depending on the issue.

Minor grammar, linking, design, or formatting changes may be made without a separate correction notice. When a material correction significantly changes the meaning of a page, ABODERA may add an explanatory note where appropriate.

18

Our Commitment to Readers

ABODERA is committed to creating content for genuine reader needs, maintaining human editorial responsibility, distinguishing fact from opinion and inspiration, explaining relevant limitations, disclosing material commercial relationships, distinguishing research from firsthand experience, avoiding intentionally misleading claims, correcting material errors, and improving resources over time.

Explain how the publication works
Identify who accepts editorial responsibility
Disclose relationships that may matter to readers
Correct material errors when necessary

Transparency does not mean that every page will be perfect or that every reader will agree with every editorial decision. It means ABODERA is willing to explain how the publication works and accept responsibility for what it publishes.
